Biography

BOBBY HACKETT trumpeter, cornetist, guitarist) was born January 31, 1915 in Providence, Rhode Island. The Bix Biederbecke influenced trumpeter performed with Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and as accompanist to Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra. Hackett formed a quintet with Vick Dickenson in the late 1960s which recorded several albums.
