Freddy Cole

Biography

FREDDY COLE (vocalist, pianist) was born October 15, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. The youngest member of the musical Cole family, and brother of Nat King Cole, Freddy began performing in Chicago nightclubs as a teenager. Cole later moved to New York, earned a Master’s Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and honed his engaging persona on the Manhattan bistro and club circuit. Although comparisons have been drawn to Nat, Freddy has achieved his own international success with accolades for his warm vocal style, earning him Grammy nominations in 2000 and 2001.
